Complete mint set of 140 cards produced for the 2002 World Cup held in Korea and Japan. It was produced by Panini SpA of Italy, the world's leading manufacturer of soccer cards and is the official 2002 World Cup set. This set includes 99 player cards (from 25 countries), soccer federation logo cards, cards of posters of previous World Cups and more. Many cards were produced with high-tech "metallic ink". When special envelopes were used in submitting Fuji film for development, the developed pictures were returned with a special pack of three 1994 Upper Deck World Cup cards.  | 1994 World Cup "High Numbers" Set
When producing its 1994 World Cup cards, Upper Deck had licensing problems with three countries - Argentina, Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia. No cards of players from the latter 2 countries appeared in the USA-issued standard sets and only a few Argentine players were included. This was also true of the cards produced for distribution outside the USA.However, late in the production runs of some series distributed outside of the USA, packs began to turn up which included cards of players from these "missing" countries. These 17 cards were numbered 251-267 and included such stars as Batistuta, Stoichkov, Al Owairan, Caniggia and Letchkov. This "high number" series also included its own checklist card. You get the complete mint set of 17 cards. Cards are in Spanish.
